50th birthday on July 29th. I checked out on Juky 30th to find my car mussing out the parking lot.

I was told after the fact that I parked my car at my own risk. I was told there were no cameras, I feel that is unacceptable!!!

I thought this was a nice establishment. Peoole should know they can't park their car in you parking lot.

User's recommendation: Park somewhere else or take an Uber.

Embassy Suites NO Empathy for disabled or Sick Customers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Southwest refunded the full flight amount.
  • - Embassy Suites kept a $378.32 charge; no refund after illness, citing the Nov 5 deadline.
Updated by user Nov 26, 2025

Hilton will just say it's past their cancelation date policy (although Airline refunded full amt immediately) and keeps $378 of your money with no recourse.

Original review Nov 11, 2025
First I'm a disabled Respiratory Therapist post 4 heart attacks, My wife is a retired RN has a history of rare small airway asthma and Esophageal constriction.
The issue her brother died, and his services were to be in Ontario CA Nov 9. So I booked flights to Ontario via South West Air, then also booked 2 nights at the Ontario Embassy suites.

All confirmed and good to go. However, wife was so stressed and distraught of the loss of her brother and felt strongly compelled to be there for his Memorial Service, we bought clothes and went through the motions of preparing for the sad trip. However, 2 days before the flight her severe asthma exacerbated as well as the esophageal issue due to stress. We consulted with our physician daughter who is a Professor of Internal Medicine at a Major University.

She promptly advised to cancel the trip as "airports are Cesspools of germs and illnesses they are seeing" and get on her Asthma Treatment regimen Steroids, Bronchodilators etc. So I contacted South West Air to cancel and was promptly refunded the FULL amount of the flights, no questions asked. Next issue was the Embassy Suites $378.32 charge to out Credit Card. I requested a cancellation.

The cancellation request was "supposed" to happen by Nov 5th per Embassy suites "policy", wife got sick a day or so after that so we "missed the Cancellation Date by a day or two. I then received a request South West hotels Rocket Travel requesting a "Medical Certificate". Well there is none, as we have treated this condition as medical professionals with each having over 40 years experience. This Rocket Travel contacted Embassy Suites, after a week of waiting I received the message from Rocket Travel Concierge that Embassy was keeping to their policy the reservation should have been cancelled by Nov 5th, which is before my wife took sick, and we had to cancel the trip adding to my wife's dismay.

Plus Embassy Suites was keeping the total amount of $378.32! No partial refund which is what I expected after being an Embassy Suites customer for many years. I doubt we'll ever use any properties owned by Embassy suites or their mother company.

This was the most disappointing action from embassy suite, I thought they might keep a small cancellation fee and return the bulk of the charge, but no, definite money grubbing at Embassy users beware. Being disabled/retired and on a fixed income we can't afford to lose this type of money.
1
Loss:
$378
Pros:
  • Would have been our typical embassy suites experiance
Cons:
  • No empathy for those that become sick after the cancel date

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Be Well aware of cancellation policies especially for Embassy Suite, that we once thought was a high class company.

Embassy Suites By Hilton - No air conditioning for three days
Updated by user Jun 26, 2025

The room was hot and I found out that the entire third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors were hot as well. They lied and said that someone’s working on the air conditioning.

I came to find out that the air had been broken for at least a week. They still allowed people to check in knowing that their AC was down. This is deception at its best.

Just poor customer service overall. They showed no concern or remorse for the situation.

Original review Jun 25, 2025

They kept lying and saying that it will be fixed the next day. I called corporate and they did not resolve the issue.

They said it was an electrical issue and nothing could be done.

I could not be put in another room because the entire hotel was hot, and all other surrounding hotels are booked. No compensation was offered for my experience.

User's recommendation: Save yourself the heartache and just don’t go

Crimes Against Me

Radio silence

Original review Dec 27, 2024
-I AM NOT GOING TO GO AWAY-
Updated December 27, 2024:
*incident occured November 24, 2023 It has been almost 16 months since the incident, and still; no resolution from these hoteliers or management and the hotel owners not only refuse to give me their insurance provider information, but appear to be conspiring to conceal facts of the incident.
I can not emphasize enough, STAY AWAY FROM TRU BY HILTON-EUGENE, ANY HOTEL OWNED BY KOMAL & ALPESH PATEL, ALKO Hotels, ALKO 500 LLC, ALKO 501 LLC.
This includes the Cottonwood and
the Fairfield hotel adjacent to Tru By Hilton-Eugene and their newly purchased Tru By Hilton Aloha Beaverton.
This is a franchised hotel. Though it carries the brand Tru By Hilton name, it is not owned or operated by Tru or Hilton.

However, they are still bound by the Franchise Disclosure Document, and are in breach of their contract for not maintaining brand standards
I saw a review recently from a recent guest.
There was more that one spider in their bed, and don't ya just know it, the GM refuses to call this person back. Shocking, right(?)
This is a clear pattern of behavior, and although many guests have neutral experiences, there are those that have not and they are egregiously ignored and denied their guest right to resolution,
To summarize and recap: I was profiled.
Discriminated against.
The GM, Michael Fear and several employees subordinate to him, conspired to intimidate me. Assaulted me. Intentionally provided law enforcement with false information.

Are concealing
material facts, and refuse to resolve the matter, and refuse to provide the contact information to the CGL insurance provider.
Side note, did you know that businesses are not required to give you their liability insurance provider information?
I mean, if you get into a car accident...what does each and every one of us need to provide...INSURANCE! So what makes businesses above this(?) Perhaps citizens will join forces and petition the courts to change this practice.

I will completely agree with you! I've worked at an Embassy Suites hotel and they were SO disrespectful!

No kidding - We were not allowed to tell customers about any building issues other than the elevator. That was only done by putting up signs, not by actually telling people.

If there were bedbugs in the building, we were told to keep quiet. If we spoke of anything wrong with the building and someone found out, we were fired.

Embassy Suites - Customer Service Problems

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - An Embassy Suites agent insulted my wife and hung up.
  • - A friend called back; the change was approved and a $300 charge discussed.

Some 'man'—and I loosely call this person a man—working at Embassy Suites Customer Service called my wife a horrible person and hung up on her. My wife was trying to get a date changed for a booking for a friend and was going to get charged $300, so she asked for a manager to confirm.

At that request, it just started to go downhill. My wife wouldn't hurt a fly.

She had her friend call back about it, and customer service OK'd my wife's request without any additional information. Why are children working in customer service at this company?

Cons:
  • Customer service

User's recommendation: Do not book hotels through Embassy Suites. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible communication

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Staff cannot disclose building issues to customers.
  • - Customers would appreciate being told about elevator status, pool closures, and bedbugs.

It really bothered me that the staff were not allowed to tell any customer about any issues with the building. If the elevators aren't working, tell people.

If there are bedbugs, tell people. If the pool is closed, tell people.

No matter what the issue is, people will dearly appreciate knowing about problems instead of finding out when they arrive. As

I am SO very sure that anyone in a wheelchair would be glad to know that the elevator is not up and running. It would be so hard for them to go up and down the stairs while carrying their luggage.

Same with parents that promised to let their kids go swimming, but find out that the pool is closed when they arrive.

Same with a family that is excited to see their other family members, but find out their room is covered in bedbugs.

Pros:
  • Staff tried their best
Cons:
  • Communication

User's recommendation: Simply go elsewhere!

Look like it had never been wiped out and the wet bar look like there was spilt milk down the side.

This is a 3 star hotel, people normally do handle their own luggage. When you asked to change rooms, what happened?

Guest

You don’t deserve a price reduction, refund or free stay “in the next few years”.

Charged my personal card without authorization and took 96 hours to start refund process

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Hotel charged incidentals and room tax without consent
  • - Refund of $937 processed on 7/1/2025 after delay
  • - Isabella cites expired form and 96+ hours retry

There was a problem with my district credit card. I wasn't notified that the payment didn't occur until after I checked out.

The Embassy Suite in Tampa charged my card for incidentals and for the cost of room and tax without further authorization from me. The Payment information from my work credit was updated last Friday 6/27/2025 by 12 noon. The hotel didn't try to process the refund to my personal account until Tuesday, July 1st. The amount owed to me is $937.

Isabella actually emailed me stated that a form expired on Sunday after the corrected payment was made on Friday. She wanted me to process the payment again 96 plus hours later. That means that my $937 refund didn't get processed until today 7/1/2025. This is unexpectable.

The hotel can't expect an immediate payment but wait to process a refund 96 hours later. I will also be contacting the BBB of Tampa Florida.

User's recommendation: Keep all documents and record conversations with accounting department.
